I don’t see the difference between diffusion and concentration gradient. They both mean the movement of molecules from higher concentration to lower concentration.
I am in the LPN program currently. I have completed one class with a clinical rotation at a nursing home. Throughout that class and already with the next class I just started (Med Surg) I am having a horrible time studying. It’s like I can’t make myself do it. I have wanted to be a nurse for so long and finally got in the program and now I just am really struggling with the studying part.
I have been feeling depressed about it because it doesn’t really make sense to me. Am I just being lazy? Or lacking organization or motivation? I guess throughout my high school years I never really developed good study skills and I am paying for it now. I truly want to be a nurse with my whole heart, I just don’t know what I can do to improve my studying habits.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The question above may be a bit confusing but that’s because I couldn’t fit what I really want to ask into just 100 characters.
So, maybe before I rephrase my question to make myself more clear, I’ll start by providing some important information. I was born in the US (so I’m obviously a citizen) and I used to live there and attend elementary school. Though, by the time I got 8 I had to move out to Poland (of which I’m also a citizen) and that’s where I continued my education.
I’m currently in 11th grade (of 12, just like in the US) and there’s no possibility I could move back to the US at this point in time and finish high school over there and so I will probably graduate here, in Poland. However, I’m reeeally hoping to be able to study at Cooper Union in New York (or at least in one of the few other art schools there, particularly Pratt, Parsons or SVA) as I’m very passionate about visual arts.
Now, my problem is that I could not be treated like a foreign student since I have American citizenship, but at the same time because of having completed secondary education in Europe (okay, not yet but soon) I’ll be in a difficult situation. Definitely worse than a fellow citizen-college applicant, who could attend high school in the States and take Advanced Placement courses.
I’m fairly confident about my skills, so the infamous Cooper Union hometest should go smooth for me but I’m worried about my grades and scores. I know that CU, being an art school, focuses mainly on the talent (or the lack of it
) of an applicant and not the GPA or SAT scores too much, but it’s not like they totally overlook it, so I’m worried nonetheless.
I already know that I’m going to have to take the TOEFL test, get my Polish diploma translated at a proper institution in the States, grades converted so that my GPA could be counted (I’m afraid it’s going to be very low) and I’m suspecting that I’ll also have to take the SAT test. Though I don’t know what to do about the courses.
My question is whether it’s possible for a student who already finished secondary education in Europe to attend high school in the US for one year and receive a high school diploma? Perhaps, by somehow covering up the fact that I already graduated back in Europe…?
I know this sounds ridiculous but I don’t know what else I could do to increase my chances of getting enrolled. The education system in Poland is awful and it’s terribly difficult to get good grades here, believe me, so if I had the chance to attend a typical public US high school I’d get some better grades and thus a higher GPA. Plus, earning credits from courses would help a lot as well. And as far as I know, the AP courses are only for high school students, is that correct?
Sorry for making this so long, but I’d really appreciate any words of advice from you. Thanks in advance!
