Do you need good drawing skills to study visuall effects and 3d animation?

Loading ...I suck at hand drawing. But im in love with learning visual effects and 3d animation. Will the fact that im not good at drawing affect my development as a computer artist?
I got lots of ideas and creativity, but im not good with the hand (drawing). What are the odds at entering to a visual effects school? will they accept me? Is it important to know how to draw by hand?
