What is the best way to increase my reading speed?

Loading ...I read very slowly in order to understand and answer questions that are related to the text. Are there any books you may recommend or certain strategies I can follow to overcome this issue.( speed reading) specially in proficiency tests like IELTS/TOEFL.

Read daily, and when you are finished with one, try a harder book, or a book with an expanded vocabulary.
if your reading for the pure purpose the finish fast, the key is to know what you can ignore. if your reading a story who cares if you read slowly it’s not going anywhere.
Read a few chapters of a book everynight you will get faster.
it gets realy interesting when you read many books from the same author.
