What should I study to become a detective?

Since I was a little girl I have wanted to become a professional wrestler, but we all know the chances of becoming a professional athlete so I moved on to my second dream. I want to be a detective! I’ve always wanted to help people and I believe being a detective helps more people in a week then anything else. I would like to be a detective that investigates sexually based offenses (like in Law and Order; SVU), but I am not sure what to study in high school or college. I was thinking that in high school I should take things like child development, forensic science, psycology, developing people skills, ect. And I was thinking in college I should take Criminal Justice, but I’m not 100% sure those are the things I should be taking. My initial questions is what classes should I take in high school and college to become a special victims detective? Thank you to all who reply.

law would be a good way to go.
criminal justice
Some of those courses might help, but to become a detective you must first be a beat cop for 4-5 years. That means passing the test to get into the Police Academy and then being a beat cop for a period of time and applying for the Detetive examination.
A faster way might be to go to work for the FBI.
All that available in Scotland Yard Library.
it is very hard to become a detective you have to go to college for 7 years and then go back for at least 2 first you have to be a police officer for at least 7.5 years then you go back to college for at least 2 yrs which is what most people do then you spend 2 years and like a student teacher to become a teacher but in detective you follow the detective around for 2 years and then you find a job for anyone that will take you and there you go!
Definitely Criminology. If you want to go into forensics you should minor in or take electives in math, natural science, physical science, and social sciences.
Forensics is a science.
Good Luck!
Criminal Justice is great for that but be sure to go to the best in the Country John Jay in New York. Do not take an on-line course or get a certificate. Get the degree and then look at working in the Police Department for several years and working your way up.
In high school take a lot of classes that require writing and reading
